Hair color is a wonderful service delivering many valuable traits to the hair. It can transform dull, mousy hair into rich radiant looking hair instantly. It can cover gray and make you look years younger, add texture to fine hair and even make hair look thicker. You can even use it to just add shine and manageability by doing a clear color gloss. Color is a great way to an instant new look.

I have a masters in color and I use Schwarzkopf Professional products. It is a high quality, conditioning color that is gentle on the hair. Schwarzkopf has one of the lowest ammonia levels on the market. I started using the product over 8 years ago and I am hooked. I love it so much, I have become a Technical Advisor (educator) for Schwarzkopf Professional. It has been a journey to get where I am, but I believe in education.

Dimensional Color (Highlights and Lowlights)

Want to be a blonde? The most natural looking blonde colors are mainly achieved through highlights, if you have a darker color of hair and not a lot of gray. Actually if you knew how rare natural blondes really are you would be surprised. There are not a whole lot of them in this world over the age of 30. Something happens when our hormones change, our hair color changes with them. Hair color seems to darken with each child we give birth to. If you were blonde as a child, chances are those days are long gone, unless you get highlights.

Because you are not coloring all the hair, highlights add great dimension to the hair, but they do not completely cover gray hair. Highlights can however, blend gray. If you have a lot of gray, you may want to consider color and highlights. You can color your hair and cover your gray, either your natural color or a little lighter and then add highlights on top of that to add dimension and make it very natural looking. You can also add dimension to already blonde or silver hair by creating lowlights using a darker color.

Highlights add GREAT texture to the hair. They can give fine hair body without the curl of a perm and if you have oily hair it is a wonderful cure.
